A Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) release confirmed the matter. In the Final match between BCB South Zone and Islami Bank East Zone, Al-Amin made Level 1 (2.5) offense which states ‘using abusive language and inappropriate body gesture towards a dismissed batsman.’
The release said on Wednesday (26 February): “Al Amin Hossain of BCB South Zone was fined 50 per cent of his match fees for using abusive language and inappropriate body gesture towards a dismissed batsman during the match. He was found guilty for breach of Level 1 (2.5) Offense.”
South Zone won their third consecutive BCL title as they notched up a 105-run victory on the fourth day at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
Al-Amin took only one wicket in two innings in the final. He went wicketless in the first innings before taking the wicket of Mohammad Ashraful (5) in the second innings when East Zone were chasing 354 runs.
Al-Amin was not picked up in the Only Test against Zimbabwe which took place at the same time in Mirpur. He missed Rawalpindi Test against Pakistan with injury concerns. Although the right-arm pacer has been picked in the ODIs as the selectors want him to focus more on white-ball cricket.
