Bangladesh batsman Imrul Kayes’s father dies
Bani Amin Biswas, father of Bangladesh national team cricketer Imrul Kayes, has died. Imrul’s father was 60 years old at the time of his death. He left his last breath at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Medical College Hospital in the capital Dhaka on Sunday night. Imrul’s cousin Roni confirmed to the media about his death.
It is learned that on Sunday night, he will be taken to his home in Uzulpur of Meherpur Sadar upazila. The burial will be completed on Monday.
Imrul Kayes’s father was seriously injured in a road accident on March 23. The locals had rescued him and first admitted him to Meherpur General Hospital. Later, the doctor was referred to admit him in the Kushtia General Hospital. Doctors said one of his legs was broken and he was hit in the ear.
The accident took place in front of the Shahiduddin Degree College on Meherpur-Kathuli road of the upazila. He was injured in a collision with a human haulernear at Shahiuddin Degree College on his way to Meherpur from his home in Ujjalpur village of Meherpur Sadar upazila.
Bani Amin Biswas was critically injured and was rushed to Meherpur General Hospital. One of his legs was injured in the accident, including a broken leg. He was referred to Kushtia Medical College Hospital from Meherpur for better treatment. Then Imrul had come to Dhaka with his injured father for advanced treatment following the accident.
Imrul told Bdcricime on April 17, “I’m not well. My father’s condition hasn’t improved so much. He’s still in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit). I just talked to the doctor. Pray for him.”
