Bangladesh vs West Indies itinerary announced

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has released the schedule for home series against West Indies in January-February 2021.

BCB and Cricket West Indies (CWI) have agreed on shortening the tour to just three ODIs and two Tests. As per the FTP (Future Tour Programmes), the two sides were supposed to play three Tests, three ODIs and two T20Is.

Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur and Chattogram’s Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium will host the matches.

West Indies will arrive on January 10. They will play a 50-over warm-up at BKSP on January 18 after completing seven-day quarantine period. The ODIs will be held at Mirpur on Jan 20 and 22, and in Chattogram on Jan 25.

The touring side will play a four-day warm-up match at MA Aziz Stadium in Chattogram from January 28 to 31.

Bangladesh and West Indies will lock horns in the two Tests, starting from February 3 at ZACS, Chattogram. The second Test will be at Mirpur on February 11-15.

The Test matches will hold the significance of World Test Championship, while the ODI series will be the two teams’ first World Cup Super League series.

The tour will mark Bangladesh’s first international series since March, when Zimbabwe came to play one-off Test, three ODIs and two T20Is.

Bangladesh had to postpone home series against Australia (two Tests) and New Zealand (two Tests) due to pandemic.

Jan 18: One-day warm up, BKSP, Savar

Jan 20: 1st ODI, SBNCS, Mirpur

Jan 22: 2nd ODI, SBNCS, Mirpur

Jan 25: 3rd ODI, ZACS, Chattogram


Jan 28-31: Four-day warm up, MA Aziz, Chattogram

Feb 3-7: 1st Test, ZACS, Chattogram

Feb 11-15: 2nd Test, SBNCS, Mirpur
