The Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) finally decided on the script with Deepak Hooda. The right hitter has been suspended from the board for the season. The decision was made on Thursday by the chairman of the Baroda Cricket Association.
A few days before the start of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy, Deepak Huda had decided to leave the team after facing off against the captain of the Krunal Pandya team. Board members, especially senior officials, did not make good decisions about Hood and have expressed outrage in the media.
While some BCA members disagree with the decisions made by the board, those decisions will remain in effect for at least some time. According to Satyajit Gaekwad, Chairman of BCA, the decision was made after communicating with the manager, team coach, and Huda himself.
Deepak Huda can play again for Baroda for the 2021-22 season: BCA
“The Board of Governors has decided that Hooda will not be considered to represent Baroda’s team this season. The decision was taken after reviewing reports from managers and team coaches about the incident and communications with Hooda,” said Satyajit Gaekwad, quoted by Cricbuzz.
The president also confirmed that the car could participate again next season, which will take place in 2021-22. Apart from the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament, BCCI will hold a tournament between the Ranji Trophy and the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
“Huda can return to play for Baroda in the 2021-22 season,” added Gaekwad.
BCA General Secretary Parag Patel talked about the things Hooda should have done instead of leaving the team. “Huda did the wrong thing by leaving the team without discussing his problems with management. But his ban for the whole season was unnecessary. He should have rebuked what he did and then was allowed to play,” said Patel.
Huda was Baroda’s vice-captain for the tournament but broke away from captain Krunal Pandya. Pandya reportedly harassed Huda during a training session forcing him to leave the team after notifying a BKA official.
