Cameron Green cops a nasty blow in head

Australian all-rounder Cameron Green copped with a nasty blow on his head off Jasprit Bumrah’s bat in the tour game between India and Australia A.

The most anticipated Test series between India and Australia is just around the corner with less than five days to go. As part of the tour, India are playing tour warm-up games of three days each before the start of the Test series. The first tour game was played from December 6th to December 8th.

The second tour game, which is also a day-night game is being played at Sydney Cricket Ground. India’s skipper Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and elected to bat first. After electing to bat first, Indians didn’t show a good performance with the bat. India were bundled out for 194 runs in the first innings.

Interestingly, Jasprit Bumrah was the leading run scorer of the innings with an unbeaten 55 runs. This is also the fast bowler’s first half-century in first-class cricket. In the knock of Jasprit Bumrah, one unpleasant thing happened as the Australian all-rounder Cameron Green got a nasty hit on his head.

In the last ball of the 44th over, Green bowled a full-length delivery to Jasprit Bumrah and the batsman hit it straight. The ball came towards the bowler in his follow through and hit directly in the right part of Green’s forehead. The bowler felt down immediately and managed to get back soon. As a precautionary measure, the all-rounder was taken off the ground. Notedly, Cameron Green is expecting his Australian Test cap in this series, after making his international debut in the ODI series.
