CSK team members tested positive with coronavirus
According to some reliable sources, some members of Chennai Super Kings are tested positive with coronavirus and the franchise won’t start the training camp on August 28.
Days are inching towards the start of the Indian Premier League 2020 in the United Arab Emirates. The season is all set to begin now, after a postponement from the actual plan due to the coronavirus pandemic situation.
With almost all the franchises have arrived in the hosting country, now players and other people are going through the compulsory quarantine period imposed by BCCI. Soon after finishing the quarantine, franchises are slowly starting their training sessions.
Chennai Super Kings’ training sessions postponed
Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings are stuck with a huge blow ahead of their training camp. The compulsory quarantine period for the franchise members has been extended as some members of the franchise are tested positive with coronavirus after landed in Dubai.
According to the original plan, Chennai Super Kings were expected to begin their training session today (August 28). But due to the Test reports, the quarantine period for the franchise has been extended with one more week. Still, there is no official source, regarding the people are who are affected with the virus.
“Even when football started in Europe, a few players had tested positive. So, with eight IPL teams and over 1000 members, this was a possibility. This could have happened to any team. It is just unlucky that it has happened to CSK despite taking all kinds of precautions,” an official quoted regarding the issue.
