England take a mysterious review against Aaron Finch
England took a very silly review against Aaron Finch in the second T20I between Australia and England as the batsman middled the ball clearly.
England have added another trophy to their cabinet in the ongoing summer season. England overshadowed Aussies in the second T20I and won the match by six wickets. With the win England conquered yet another series win in their long home season.
In the second T20I, Australia batted first and added 157 runs on the board for the loss of seven wickets. The hosts had a quite easy chase in front of them and chased down the target comfortably with more than an over left.
Even though England won the game, they had a quite embarrassing moment during the first innings of the game. England appealed for an lbw against Aaron Funch and went on to challenge the umpire’s decision. In the end, it turned as one of the worst reviews taken ever in the game.
The incident happened in the seventh over of Australian innings when Aaron Finch faced Adhil Rashid. The right-handed batsman played a defensive shot and England players appealed for an lbw. But on field umpire was strong with his decision and denied the wicket.
England took DRS and challenged the decision of on field umpire. In the replay, it showed that the Australian captain middled the ball really well and there was not a single point for confusion. As a result, the review ended as one of the worst DRS challenges ever in the game.
