England to play two matches in a day
All kinds of cricket have been suspended due to the coronavirus. But if the situation is right then England will be seen playing two matches in a day. At the same time, the English have no difficulty playing white and red ball cricket in different venues. England limited-overs captain Eoin Morgan has said so.
The left-handed batsman, said that if the domestic season gets shorter, England will be able to represent the country in two different venues with two different teams at the same time.
“I would like to see all sorts of alternatives come into play at an unusual time,” Morgan, who captained England to win the World Cup in 2019, told in a press conference.
“Certainly I have never been to such an experience before and I don’t think anyone else has. I think if every game is available as much as possible, every cricketer will support it. I must support.”
In that case, England could play a series against the West Indies or Pakistan under the leadership of Test captain Joe Root in July. England could play limited-overs cricket against Australia under Morgan’s leadership in the same month.
The outbreak of the coronavirus has become a staple in the cricket calendar. Because of this, all kinds of international series have already been suspended. The Twenty20 World Cup on the October-November schedule is also in doubt.
