PTI’s first choice for the people of Karachi!
The people of Karachi declared the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as the first choice.
The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), the ruling party in the city for many years, came in fourth in popularity.
According to a new survey, the people of Karachi expressed similar views regarding the ruling party PPP and the largest opposition party, the PML-N.
Gallup Pakistan has released a new survey based on the views of the people of Karachi.
Summary of the poll:
- PTI’s Popularity = 17%
- PMLN’s Popularity = 13%
- PPP’s Popularity = 13%
- MQM’s Popularity = 12%
17% of the people of Karachi declared PTI as their first choice while 13% and 13% were supporters of PPP and PML-N.
The MQM, which has been winning national and provincial assembly seats and mayorship from Karachi for decades, is no longer the first choice of citizens.
According to a Gallup poll, 12 percent of the population voted for the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
Regarding the election, 64% of the people asked to cast their vote while 36% refused to cast their vote.
