Gambhir donates 2 year’s salary to combat COVID-19 pandemic

Gautam Gambhir, who won two World Cups for India, has earlier donated one crore rupees and one month’s salary to the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s relief fund to fight coronavirus terror. Now, the former Indian left-handed batsman has paid two years’ salary as an MP in the PM’s Relief Fund.

India has a lockdown for three weeks to reduce coronavirus outbreaks. At this time, the country has strongly imposed that people should not come out without need. Due to the lockdown of the country, the country is in danger. People from all walks of life are coming to their side. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also set up a relief fund.

Referring to the two years ‘pay to the fund, Gautam Gambhir, who is the MP under the banner of BJP, said,

“Everyone is saying what the country is doing for them at this time. My question is, what are you doing for the country at this time. I am giving two years salary as a donation to the Prime Minister’s Fund. You should come forward too.”

The country’s cricket stars are very active against coronavirus. They are urging people to stay in the house with a donation of money as well as awareness messages. BCCI President Sourav Ganguly distributed Rs. 50 lakh rice to counter coronavirus. Sachin Tendulkar has provided financial assistance. Ajinkya Rahane, Suresh Raina, has come forward with a helping hand. Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma have donated too.
