India’s predicted XI for the 1st Test against Australia

The Border-Gavaskar trophy which is to be played between India and Australia, stats on the 17th December with a Day-Night Test at the Adelaide Oval.

The Indian team has played a solitary Test with the pink ball against Bangladesh. On the other hand, Australia were the first team to introduce the pink ball in the Test format.

The visitors will not be at full strength throughout the series. While the skipper will miss the final three Tests, Rohit Sharma might miss the first two Tests.

1. Mayank Agarwal

In the absence of Rohit Sharma, the right-handed opener Mayank Agarwal is definitely will be a part of the playing XI. He has been in tremendous form with the bat in recent years.

He was also a part of the practice game where he scored a much-needed fifty to cement his place in the playing eleven. He also showed his ability to score against Australian bowling attack when he toured Australia last time.
