IPL is the best T20 competition in the world: Jos Buttler
England wicket-keeper batsman Jos Buttler thinks that Indian Premier League (IPL) is the great platform to learn and increase the skills. He also mentions IPL as the best T20 tournament in the world.
“I think the IPL has had as big an impact as any on my career,” Buttler revealed to Sky Sports. “It’s an astounding spot to learn and it is the best T20 competition in the world, all the best players playing against one another and you’re sharing a dressing room with past and present brilliant players.
“It is where you can adapt so a lot, gain proficiency with a ton about yourself and looking forward to the T20 World Cup not long from now, the IPL is an incredible stage to get ready at the most elevated level.”
England will have just six T20I matches before the World Cup begins in Australia in October. So England players will surely use IPL as their preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Buttler will play for Rajasthan Royals alongside his fellow mate Ben Stokes and Tom Curran. Buttler will try to continue his good form in the shortest format of the cricket as he’d been the second highest run-scorer for Rajasthan Royals in the last season.
