India are missing the services of some senior players like Ravindra Jadeja, Umesh Yadav, and Mohammad Shami in the series due to the injuries they sustained on the Australian tour. Especially India were missing Ravindra Jadeja in the spin department in the first Test at Chennai.

Now it looks like the all-rounder will not be available for the last two Tests too. Earlier it was said that the southpaw batsman is expected to join the Test team for the last two Tests. But now it is said that there is no chance of Ravindra Jadeja recovering fully from the injury for the Ahemadabad Tests. Also, it is not clear whether he will be available or not for the limited-overs fixtures.

It will be a major blow for Virat Kohli and co, for the remainder of the Test series. Meanwhile, Axar Patel who missed the first Test due to injury is expected to play the second Test at Chennai. He is the one announced as the replacement for injured Ravindra Jadeja.

At the same time, the other injured players Mohammad Shami, Umesh Yadav, and Hanuma Vihari are also yet to recover from their injuries. According to close sources, it is learned that none of them show symptoms of joining the team in near future.
