The ongoing third Test match between Australia and India is being held at Sydney Cricket Ground. So far 2 days have been done and dusted. Both teams had their fair share of moments during the passage of play. Australia were bundled out for 338 in the first innings.

Aussies resumed the Day 2 with 166/2. Marnus Labuschagne and Smith took the game from the visitors by adding a 100-run partnership. While things were moving smoothly for the Aussies, Ravindra Jadeja provided a much-needed breakthrough by getting rid of Marnus for 91.

Jadeja runs out Smith:

After Jadeja dismissed Marnus in the 71st over, no other batsman delivered the goods alongside Steve Smith. The former Australian captain was the lone warrior with the bat as he alone was scoring runs. While wickets kept falling at one end, Smith tried his best to add value to the team.

The right-handed batsman scored an impressive 138 before he was run out by Ravindra Jadeja. During the 106th over, Smith was looking to take 2 runs to get back on strike. As Bumrah bowled a normal delivery, Smith nudged it towards the leg side to take 2 runs.

After completing the first run, Josh Hazlewood responded for the other run as well. Smith was already trying to get back into the crease but then Jadeja quickly picked up the ball and aimed at the stumps before Smith made it to the crease. Smith made his way back to the dressing room after a stellar show.

The video of Jadeja running out Steve Smith with rocket-arm throw is going viral on the internet. Even fans couldn’t stop applauding the Indian all-rounder for his spectacular throw. Despite his fielding skills, he made the headlines for his terrific bowling performance as well.

Jadeja took as many as 4 wickets and ended up as the team’s highest wicket-taker in the first innings. Talking about India’s innings, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill provided a sensational start to the game by adding a 70-run stand.

However, Josh Hazlewood had other ideas in mind as he dismissed Rohit. While the batsman tried to play a shot down the ground, he was caught and bowled by Hazlewood. Cummins got rid of Shubman Gill after he scored a maiden fifty in Tests. India finished the day with 96/2.
