Jamieson bowls a terrific in-swinger to send Rizwan packing



New Zealand fast bowler Kyle Jamieson was the ‘find of the home series’ against Pakistan. The fast bowler picked 5 wickets in the first Test match against the visitors at Bay Oval. He then followed it up with magnificent bowling spell in the second match in Christchurch.

During the game, he bowled a terrific in-swinger to get rid of Pakistan skipper Mohammad Rizwan. The visitors were in all sorts of trouble after losing half of their batting line-up in the second innings. When Rizwan was trying all the luck by batting patiently, he was dismissed by Jamieson.

The skipper literally had no time to respond to the delivery as the ball beat him all ends up and crashed into the stumps. Rizwan who scored a valiant 61 in the first innings had to depart after scoring just 10 runs.

It is arguably the best ball of Jamieson’s cricketing career and the 26-year-old bowler has a long way to go. He is certain to go places and make his country proud in the times to come.

Kyle Jamieson was named the man of the match for his terrific bowling performance. He took a fifer in the first innings and then took as many as 6 wickets to his name. Overall, he ended up with 11 wickets in the second match.



Talking about his overall wicket tally in the home series against Pakistan, he took 16 wickets to his name. The young pacer addressed the reporters at the post-match presentation where he spoke about his performance.

“We had to graft away for decent periods of time. As a bowling unit, we were clinical. From my point of view, just sit back and learn. We have got the four-pronged attack.

I am the fourth prong. Try and observe what these guys have done for the years,” he added. When he was asked about 500 dollar donation on behalf of the main sponsors, he said: “I will give it to my old cricket club.”

New Zealand registered a 2-0 clean sweep over the visitors and are continuing to dominate the Test cricket. Kane Williamson was named the man of the series for his impressive run-tally of 350 runs in the home series.

He scored a century in the first Test match and then scored a magnificent double century in the second Test match. Earlier, they completed a 2-0 clean sweep over West Indies where Kane Williamson scored 251 in the first match. New Zealand have strengthened their position in the ICC Test team rankings.
