MI bowling coach Shane Bond gives a warning to DC ahead of the clash

The upcoming match between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals is certainly going to be one heck of a contest as both teams will lock horns with each other at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Both teams crossed swords with each other in the IPL 2020 final at the United Arab Emirates.

Mumbai Indians got the better of Shreyas Iyer-led Delhi Capitals to lift their fifth trophy in the IPL. This will be the first meeting between both sides this season.

These two teams locked horns with each other on 28 occasions. Mumbai have a better head to head record than Delhi Capitals as they won 16 games but lost 12 games.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bat first in Chennai. Ahead of the fixture, MI bowling coach Shane Bond gave a warning to DC. Bond has highlighted how their death bowling would make things quite tough for DC.

“We are always well planned, and we have attacked their players in different ways. We will do the same again. Last couple of games, teams have got a really good start against us. Our spinners have done a brilliant job in the middle.

But the way Boom (Jasprit Bumrah) and Boulty (Trent Bould) have closed out the innings. Teams are only scoring 20-25 runs in the last five overs, which is a real credit to them. They are really clear about what they want to do.” Bond said in a chat with MI.

Shane Bond reckons that the defending champions played a fearless brand of cricket in the last season against DC. MI managed to win all four games against DC.

“They are a team that are highly talented and played outstanding cricket, and they have started the season well again. I think they were all competitive games last year, and we probably played some of our best cricket against Delhi. They certainly deserved their place in the final. They have a really well-balanced team.” the MI bowling coach said.

“We know we are a team that match up pretty well against them. We know the wicket here is tricky. But we have got experience. Hopefully, that would stand us in good stead.” Bond added.
