Mushfiqur Rahim reaches seventh Test ton
Following Mominul Haque’s century, Bangladesh celebrated wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim also completed his ton in the ongoing one-off Test against Zimbabwe at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
On Monday, Mushfiqur reached into his seventh Test ton in post-lunch session. He was unbeaten at 99 runs at the break. He swept Ndlovu for a four in the ninth delivery after the lunch to complete the ton.
At the time of the report, Mushfiqur is batting with the score of 127 runs facing 193 deliveries. He hit 22 shots to reach into the boundary rope.
Prior to that Bangladesh skipper Mominul Haque has reached into his ninth Test hundred. Mominul touched the three figure mark in the morning session of day three.
The left-hander Mominul has equaled Tamim Iqbal’s tally of nine Test centuries. The home team, with 6 wickets at hand, has so far taken a commanding 130 runs lead in their first innings.
In reply to Zimbabwe’s first innings total of 265 runs all-out, Bangladesh scored 351 runs for the loss of 3 wickets at lunch of day three on Monday.
