Natarajan added to the ODI squad

The fast bowling sensation in IPL 2020, T Natarajan has been added to the ODI squad of India ahead of the first ODI in Sydney today (November 27).

Ahead of the first ODI in sydney, BCCI added the left-arm fast bowler T Natarajan to the ODI squad. The selection committee termed that he has been added as a cover up for the right-arm fast bowler Navdeep Saini who is complained with a back spasm.

Originally the left-arm fast bowler was brought in as a net bowler for the tour. Later he was added to the T20I squad since the spinner Varun Chakravarthy was ruled out of the series due to injury. Now the pacer has been brought into the ODI squad too. In case Saini is not fit, Natarajan might receive his India cap in Sydney.

Apart from this change in the ODI squad, BCCI released official statements regarding the injury status of both Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma. According to that Ishant Sharma is ruled out of the Test series though he is fully recovered from the side strain. The decision has been taken after considering his workload management.

In the case of Rohit Sharma, the right-handed batsman will have the fitness test on December 11th and following that BCCI will take the next steps. Also BCCI confirmed that the batsman returned to India than traveling to Australia as his father was contracted with coronavirus.
