Nigar cites valid reasons for loss against India

The main reason for the loss against India was the poor bowling in power play and death overs. Also, the fielding did not go as expected.

Wicket-keeper batsman Nigar Sultana Joti seems to think so. However, she wants to have a positive attitude. Tigresses are confident of a good game against Australia in the next match.

Match against India. Kuala Lumpur’s memory was coming up again and again. Bangladesh women’s cricket team won against India in the Asia Cup final. This time, Harmanpreet Kaur was careful. But Salma-led Bangladesh were in good touch too. Nevertheless, the target of the match was not touched by them. So there was frustration. Tigresses had begun to calculate what was wrong and how to correct it.

Nigar Sultana said,

“We did not bowl well in the power play. Shafali Verma had batted very well at that time. We had also lost some opportunities. The bowling was not good in the last 5 overs too.”

The next opponent for Bangladesh is Australia. Bangladesh have never played a match against them. So by watching the video footage, they understand the type of play.

Nigar said, “Bangladesh women’s team had not played against Australia before. So without thinking about them, we are thinking about our plans. They are the current champions. I want to take the positives out of the match against India and move on to Australia.”

Meanwhile, India are at the peak of their confidence in winning the 2 matches consecutively.
