NZ vs WI 1st T20 Match Preview:

The West Indies team is scheduled to play three T20Is and two Test matches against the Kiwis
The Black Caps are set to play without Kane Williamson and Trent Boult for the T20I series
New Zealand cricket team will host the all-mighty West Indies in the T20Is and Test series, kicking off tomorrow onwards. The Black Caps hasn’t played any international match since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The situation is under much control in New Zealand and the country is also hosting domestic cricket. The 1st T20 match will be played between New Zealand and West Indies (NZ vs WI 1st T20) at Eden Park, Auckland, start at 11:30 AM IST.

However, the hosts New Zealand will be playing without the services of Kane Williamson and Trent Boult for the T20I series. Both played the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL 2020). Tim Southee, who had led NZ in past, will once again take charges for three T20I.

All eyes will be on debutant Devon Conway and Kyle Jamieson. Conway, who was handed a central contract even before he completed the qualification period, has grabbed much limelight in domestic cricket and looks set to play his maiden T20I tomorrow. As for Jamieson, he first grabbed the headlines against India earlier this year.

On the other hand, Kieron Pollard will lead the West Indies after a long time. Pollard and Co landed in NZ after the successful IPL season and the Caribbean side have completed their isolation period on Thursday and go face to face with the Black Caps. Undoubtedly, they are the clear favorites as the West Indies team possessed fire-powers.

The pitch at Eden Park will favor the bowlers enjoying a lot of help from the surface. The batting seems to be difficult on this spongy and bouncy track in Aukland, batting first will be the key for both sides. The average score at this venue will be around 160 runs.
