The T10 League Draft just ended with a diary of big names around the world joining the league. The T10 League has been gaining a lot of popularity and fan interest recently.
Pakistani Stars Picked in T10 League Draft
Pakistan’s star all-rounder Shahid Afridi also takes part in the popular league being played in the United Arab Emirates. Shahid Afridi was one of the few players who was retained before the T10 League draft or was selected as an icon player. Shahid Khan Afridi selected as the icon player by the Pakistani franchise Qalandars.
The recently retired Mohammad Amir is another name from Pakistan who will participate in this league. Amir will represent Pune Devils, while left-arm veteran bowler Wahab Riaz has been captured by the Northern Warriors.
Maratha Arabians decided to retain Shoaib Malik from Pakistan. After the start of the T10 League draft, Pakistani Professor Muhammad Hafeez selected by the Maratha Arabians. Hafeez was in sensational form at this year’s T20 Cricket and he’s probably the hottest pick in the project. Maratha Arabians will have both Pakistan’s T20I top scorers (Malik and Hafeez) in their team.
Another big name from Pakistan is T20 league specialist Sohail Tanvir. The left pacemaker is always a topical choice in the T20 league due to his extensive experience in T20 cricket around the world. Tanveer chosen by Qalandars. Another Pakistani left-arm bowler, Usman Shinwari, selected by Team Abu Dhabi.
Pakistani franchise, Qalandars continues to select more Pakistan Players in the T10 League Draft. They picked right-handed fast bowler, Hassan Ali, left-handed, batsmen Sharjil Khan, and also picked PSL 2020 Runners-Up Captain, Sohail Akhtar.
Pakistani Players Featured in League
All these decisions have been brilliant as all these players have been in great form lately. Sohail Akhtar led Lahore Qalandars to the PSL final for the first time, while Sharjeel Khan and Hassan Ali performed well at the end of the Quaid-e-Azam Cup (Pakistan’s domestic event). Hasan and Sharjeel have great potential in even the shortest game format.
T10 League Draft included several names, Aamir Yamin (Northern Warrior), Asif Ali (Qalandars), Azam Khan (Deccan Gladiators), and Mohammad Irfan (Bangla Tigers). It was great to see young Azam Khan picked as he has attracted a lot of attention since his fame as a hard hit batsman in the PSL.
The Aamir Yamin is another great choice as an all-rounder it does well in Pakistani domestic cricket. U19 fast bowler from Sindh named Zeeshan Zameer also chosen by the Deccan Gladiators franchise.
The league starts on 28 January 2020 and will play until 6 February 2020. The 8 teams divided into two groups. Maratha Arabians, Bangla Tigers, Delhi Bulls, and Northern warriors assigned to group A. While Group B consisted of Qalandars, Deccan Gladiators, Pune Devils, and Team Abu Dhabi.
