Pant suffers no major injury and likely to bat on day five

Indian left-handed batsman and wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant is likely to bat on day five of the ongoing Test as he is not having a major injury. 

India are in some setbacks in the ongoing third Test against Australia as the injury issues continue to trouble the visitors in Australia. India started day three on a higher note, but unfortunately, India suffered another batting collapse and ended their second innings on 244.

This handed over a healthy lead of 94 runs to the hosts ahead of the second innings. At the end of day three, Australia were 103/2 with Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne on the crease.

During India’s innings, the visitors two injury scares in the form of Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja. Rishabh Pant got a hit on his left elbow off’s Pat Cummins delivery during the second session of play on day three. He was seen struggling with pain and was attended with the necessary medical aids.

The left-handed batsman continued to play with the injured hand and was seen in trouble while he was batting. Soon after his dismissal, BCCI confirmed that he was taken for scans after the blow on his left elbow.

Now the scan results have offered some good news for the Indian Cricket team and Indian fans as the wicket-keeper batsman isn’t suffering any major injury issue at the moment. Also, it is said that Pant will be able to bat on day five. In the first innings also, he was off to a good start and scored 36 runs.
