Sunil Gavaskar hints a tough tour for India in Australia later this year


Sunil Gavaskar said that it won’t be an easy thing for the Indian cricket team led by Virat Kohli to dominate Australia in their own backyard.

The rivalry between India and Australia is one of the most talked ones in the history of the game. From time to time, the game has witnessed many interesting battles between both teams, especially with the Border-Gavaskar trophy.

At the moment the trophy is with the Indian team as they clinched the four-match Test series that happened in Australia last time. Virat Kohli and his team created history by winning a Test series in Australia after 71 years of wait. India captured the Test series 2-1 by dominating the Australian team led by Tim Paine.

India now have a challenge ahead of them to retain the trophy with themselves as they will tour Australia again later this year. Again there will be more anticipations on the Indian cricket team led by Virat Kohli.

Gavaskar feels that India will find it difficult in Australia:

Meanwhile, Sunil Gavaskar recently said that it will not be an easy thing for India to do the replica of what they did last time in Australia when they toured there.

Sunil, Gavaskar said that the hosts will be a completely different side this time than the last time. He talked about the fact that the absence of Steve Smith and David Warner played a big impact on the last tour. They were in one year ban from International cricket due to the ball-tampering incident.

“I think there will be some changes in Team India this time. There will be bounce on the pitch but batting won’t be difficult after few overs with the new ball. With Steve Smith and David Warner in the side, surely, it won’t be easy for India to win. Australian batsmen will also do homework on Jasprit Bumrah and others,” Sunil Gavaskar quoted.
