T Sports, GTV to telecast DPL Super League matches

Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) has decided to telecast the matches of Dhaka Premier League (DPL) on TV. Super League matches can be seen on two private TV channels.

The Super League will start at the end of Round 11 league matches. And after that, CCDM has made a mind to broadcast the upcoming Super League matches on TV even though the league matches are shown on Facebook and YouTube. CCDM chairman Kazi Inam Ahmed confirmed this on Tuesday.

The Super League matches will be telecast on GTV and the country’s first sports-based channel, T-Sports, the CCDM chairman said.

“We are excited to share that the DPL T20 Super League’s all matches will be live telecasted jointly by T Sports and GTV. The league so far has produced some really exciting matches with all national team stars participating in this league. I am sure the viewers will enjoy watching the Super League from their homes.  All 6 teams will be playing every day in 3 matches and all games will be at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium,” he said.

The Super League matches with the top 6 teams of the points table will start on June 19 and will continue till June 25. The CCDM chairman said three matches would be played every day and all the matches would be held at one venue, Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. A total of 15 matches will be seen on TV in five days.
