Vaughan takes a U-turn and lauds India’s fight

Former England cricketer Michael Vaughan took a U-turn from his previous statement and praised India’s excellence t fight back in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar trophy.

India’s long tour to Australia is about to end, with only two more days left in the tour. The final Test has started in Brisbane just three days after the dramatic draw at SCG. The visitors are doing a great job so far in the Test series, after a humiliating loss in the first Test at Adelaide.

Prior to the series, the were so many doubts on the team regarding how the team would perform in the absence of Virat Kohli. Indian team started the tour with a big defeat in the first ODI and that added more questions on the team.

Former England player Michael Vaughan also criticized the Indian team and he said that India won’t be able to win at least a series in the tour. Later after the first Test, the former cricketer added that India would lose the Test series 4-0. But India went on to come back in the next Test at MCG.

India’s fightback continued at SCG and staged a fabulous draw there. In the ongoing fourth Test also Shardul Thakur and Washington Sundar brought India back on track with yet another fabulous partnership. Following the gritty partnership, the former England cricketer lauded the performance by the Indian team.

“Full credit to India… The character they have had to show on this tour has been remarkable … also the resilience with so many injuries … a team is only as good as its bench many say … Well India have a very strong bench of players now,” Vaughan tweeted.
