Williamson teaches his pet dog ‘Sandy’ slip catches
The Indian Premier League (IPL) has lagged behind, but whether the franchise-based Twenty20 tournament which is postponed until April 15 will take place after that is totally doubtful. The Tokyo Olympics were supposed to be in July. Even then, the biggest sports competition in the world has been declared to be held in 2021 under the influence of coronavirus.
New Zealand captain Kane Williamson was supposed to play for IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad. But as the tournament is postponed due to coronavirus terror, he’s passing a leisure time at home.
But he’s not the type of man who will sit idly at home.
Williamson is also enjoying cricket at home. And during this time, he chose her own pet dog, named ‘Sandy’, as the playing partner.
Williamson posted a video on social media Instagram. Wherever he appears, he is practicing sleep catching a pet. The dog is catching catches at slip position like a skilled fielder.
Below the slow motion video, Williamson captioned,
“Sandy in the slips! 😀 Any other dogs out there joining Sandy? #caninecordon #daytwoisolation.”
Earlier, Williamson praised of his country’s doctors and nurses who served the infected peoples at this disastrous moment. According to the Kiwi captain, it is not the cricketers, but the medical personnel who work with real pressure. They are the real warriors.
